There are 16 professions from which to choose in creating your character. They are:

Amazon Warrior - xxx
Athlete – In Greece there is a focus on taking care of the body and Athletes especially take this to heart, though they may be found everywhere.
Barbarian – Many from Saunitis, others from the savage northern land of Thracia, and a few from the great desert beyond Egypt. Very few have been known to exist apart from civilization, roaming the countryside between settlements in Greece itself.
Cultist - These practitioners of magic operate in many mystery cults and also come from foreign lands such as Persia.
Hoplite - Can be found anywhere, but especially prevalent in Sparta and surrounding regions. Hoplites may go by other titles in other cultures.
Hunter – Hunters, some serve as military scouts for the city-states, though they are often from wooded areas just outside of cities.
Peltast - xxx

Poet – Many from Phoenicia, who are very knowledgeable, as the Phoenicians are known for their extensive sea travels throughout the world. Poets are still popular in Greece too since Greeks love stories and fables. Poets actually do more that write and recite poetry. Their works often include art, music, and drama as well.
Politician - xxx
Priest - from anywhere, usually major city-states where Temples have sufficient resources to support them and their missions.
Rogue - From anywhere. Common in Corinth and other large market city-states. Not so common in Sparta because of strict military service and harsher laws, unless serving as a military spy.
Ruffian - xxx
Sailor - xxx
Slave - xxx
Trader - xxx
Other Professions?
Certainly many other professions may exist in the world of Heirs of Olympus. If you do not find a profession suitable to your character, you may consult with the GM about other possibilities. These should include 32 points towards skills and 15 points of Merits that both make sense to that profession.
